King’s Landing

King’s Landing is located on the pristine waters of Rocks Springs Run, one of three main tributaries that feeds the Wekiva River Basin, a designated National Wild and Scenic River.

The Day Paddle journey is a self-guided paddle out, paddle back to the King’s Landing launch. Exit the canal and explore one mile in either direction to discover the raw beauty of Rock Springs Run. Bring your own City Paddleboard ™ to discover this verdant oasis in the heart of Central Florida.

To the Right-To the Right Discover the breathtaking Emerald Cut section of Rock Springs Run.  Known for its crystal-clear emerald water and jungle-like surroundings, you will be quickly swept away to a secret paradise.  Once you exit the canal, you will take a right, paddling upstream against the current until you reach the barricade at Kelly Park.  You will then turn around and drift back downstream, enjoying the beautiful natural lazy river of Rock Springs Run.

​To the Left – To the Left, all adventurers to the Left. Side. Explore wild Florida and escape in lush tropical hammocks and wildlife around every paddle. Duck! there is a Rough Green Snake draped among the moss, Yes! they are harmless! Is that a jewel-colored Iguana scampering into the branches? Once you exit the canal, you will take a left, paddling downstream with the current until you reach two buoy’s that read, Turn-Around.  Along your journey, you may also see alligators, turtles, fish, deer, black bears, and more bird species than a tropical aviary that call Rock Springs Run home.
